Intermediate Rent
Through the Intermediate Rent Scheme, you can rent a brand new home at less than market rent. The rent is normally 20% less than market rate for a similar home in a similar area.
Intermediate Rent allows you to initially rent the property that you are looking to purchase. This allows you to live in a new home without having to obtain a mortgage in the first instance. The property will be rented from Endeavour Housing Association on a short term basis whilst you save for a deposit and obtain a mortgage.
Intermediate rent is a great option for people who may be experiencing difficulties in securing a mortgage. Intermediate rent homes are usually let on an Assured Shorthold Tenancy basis with a 6 month contract period.
Endeavour is part of the Time2Buy consortium chosen to deliver the Governments Homebuy scheme across Durham and Tees Valley.
To find out if you are eligible for an Intermediate Rent property, you will need to contact the Time2Buy team. The Time2Buy team are the first point of contact who can explain how the scheme works, whether you are eligible and how to apply.
