Respect
To show our commitment to tackling anti-social behaviour, the Association has signed up to the Government’s Respect Standard for Housing Management.
What is Respect?
The Government launched the Respect Campaign on 10th January 2006. The campaign aims to encourage all of us to be considerate to the needs of others and care about where we live. This will be achieved through tackling anti-social behaviour and its causes, to improve the quality of life for all communities.
What is The Respect Standard
The Respect Standard for Housing Management is a voluntary standard aimed at all social landlords. The standard outlines six core commitments that are essential to delivering an effective response to anti-social behaviour and help create a culture of Respect.
The commitments are:
- Accountability, leadership and commitment
- Empowering and reassuring residents
- Prevention and early intervention
- Tailored services for residents and provision of support for victims and witnesses
- Protecting communities through swift enforcement
- Support to tackle the causes of anti-social behaviour
