Anti-social Behaviour and Nuisance

Anti-social Behaviour and Nuisance

Anti-social Behaviour is any behaviour that causes or is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to other people living in the neighbourhood.

Anti-social Behaviour can take many forms including:

  • Excessive noise, loud music, shouting and arguing, dogs barking, doors banging.
  • Harassment, verbal abuse, racist, sexist or homophobic remarks, threats of violence or actual assault.
  • Graffiti or damage to property.
  • Selling drugs or drug abuse.
  • Dumping rubbish.
  • Untidy or overgrown gardens.

The best way to deal with anti-social behaviour is not to let it happen in the first place. This means showing consideration for other people and getting on with your neighbours.

If you want to report any incident of anti social behaviour or you are a victim of anti social behaviour, you should contact your Housing Officer on 01642 796200 or (Freephone from a landline 0800 980 9050)
