Anti-social Behaviour and Nuisance
Anti-social Behaviour is any behaviour that causes or is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to other people living in the neighbourhood.
Anti-social Behaviour can take many forms including:
- Excessive noise, loud music, shouting and arguing, dogs barking, doors banging.
- Harassment, verbal abuse, racist, sexist or homophobic remarks, threats of violence or actual assault.
- Graffiti or damage to property.
- Selling drugs or drug abuse.
- Dumping rubbish.
- Untidy or overgrown gardens.
The best way to deal with anti-social behaviour is not to let it happen in the first place. This means showing consideration for other people and getting on with your neighbours.
